摘要
目的:基于高分辨率磁共振成像(magnetic resonance imaging,MRI)技术测定不同时间段的海马体积,探讨健康成人海马体积1 d内的变化。方法:对3名健康成年志愿者(平均年龄22岁)分别在晨起后30 min,早餐后1 h,午餐前、后1 h,晚餐前、后1 h,睡前30 min 7个时间点进行颅脑MRI结构成像扫描,结合Free Surfer软件自动计算各脑区体积,并对各时间段双侧海马体积变化进行研究。结果:(1)右侧海马平均体积((4.15±0.12)cm3)显著大于左侧((3.97±0.29)cm3)(t=2.9,P=0.009)。(2)双侧海马体积1 d内呈现动态变化,左侧较为显著。左侧海马晨起时体积最小,晚餐前最大;右侧海马午餐后最小,晚餐前最大。(3)3餐前后海马体积没有明显变化。(4)左侧海马体积晨起时明显小于睡前,右侧海马体积晨起时大于睡前。结论:海马体积1 d内呈现动态变化,对于研究海马的解剖、机能构造以及某些神经、精神疾病可提供相应的基础支持。
Objective To explore the daily volume changes of hippocampus in the healthy adult by using high-resolution MRI. Methods Three healthy adults with a mean age of 22 years old were adopted as the volunteers, and underwent MR imaging at seven time points of 30 min after getting up, 1 h after breakfast, 1 h before and after lunch, 1 h before and after supper as well as 30 min before falling asleep. Free Surfer software was used to calculate automatically the volumes of all encephalic regions, and the volume changes of bilateral hippocampi at the time points were investigated. Results The mean volume of the right hippocampi((4.15 ±0.12)cm3) was significantly bigger than that of the left hippocampi((3.97±0.29)cm3), with t=2.9 and P=0.009. The bilateral hippocampi had the volumes change dynamically in one day, and the left one had more changes than the other one. The left hippocampus gained the minimum volume at the time point of getting up and the maximum volume before supper, while the right hippocampus became the smallest after lunch and biggest before supper. The hippocampi had no significant changes before and after three meals. The left hippocampus had the volume at the time point of getting up smaller than that before falling asleep, and the right hippocampus was just the contrary. Conclusion The hippocampus is found to have the volume change dynamically in one day, and the finding may provide references for the researches on its anatomy, function as well as some neurological and mental diseases.
