Most pumping stations along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River are tidal pumping station,parts of whose unit installation processes are highly influenced by tides.This article describes the reasons why the vertical coaxial measuring of buildings are affected by the changes in the horizonal directions, and states an analysis of how to reduce the tidal influence and improve the measurement accuracy to meet regulatory requirements.
