Know How Science and Technology Can Fix 6 Big Problems of India over the Next Three Decades

印度作为世界第二人口大国,随着人口增加、气候变化、污染加重、资源减少,未来30年将主要面临六大社会和经济问题:医疗、粮食安全、环境、能源、教育及城市建设。印度学者研究认为,"科技"是突破和解决这六大问题的关键抓手。印度国家领导人呼吁,通过科技创新开展网络化医疗和服务、转基因农业、海水淡化、清洁能源、素质教育和宜居城市建设等,以应对印度面临的各种挑战。我国在工业化和城镇化过程中,同样面临与印度相似的社会和经济问题,期望我国可以参考印度使用科技手段解决社会问题的做法;将科技创新作为支撑和引领社会发展的核心动力。

India, as the world＇s second most populous country, will face major social and economic problems in the field of medical, food security, environment, energy, education and city building over the next three decades. Indian scholars believe that science and technology is the key point to solve these problems. India＇s national leaders called for dealing the challenges through online healthcare and medical services, transgenic agriculture, sea water desalination, clean energy, quality-oriented education, livable city construction based on science and technology innovation. The practice and experience of India are worthy of being shared by China to solve its social and economic problems in the process of the industralization and urbanization.
