Though there are many contributing factors to the rise of Silicon Valley and Stanford after World War II, their mutually complementary development is an indisputable fact. This article briefly analyses the development history of Silicon Valley and Stanford University, trying to identify successful experiences for the construction of Chinese innovation system.
