Road Transport Facilities and the Rules of Etiquette in West Zhou Dynasty

西周道路以周王室为中心向外围幅射,主要干线可直达各诸侯王国,相应设施配套齐全,车辆制造技术也较为发达。在管理方面,不仅建有专职管理队伍,而且等级分明,规范齐全,为西周王室实施对社会的有效管理,发挥了巨大作用。

The roads were converged in King Zhou’s palace and extended outward in West Zhou dynasty. The main traffic arteries led to all feudal kingdoms with complete facilities and advanced vehicle-manufacturing techniques. On the management side, a whole full-time management team was set up hierarchically with complete specifications, effectively conducting control of the society.
