自2014年5月11日由李克强总理、肯尼亚、乌干达、卢旺达和南苏丹等国总统等亲自出席的肯尼亚蒙巴萨至内罗毕铁路项目中肯合作协议签字仪式举行至今,蒙内铁路已如火如荼地进行全面施工,将成为中国铁路海外工程承包以及中国装备＂走出去＂的典范。蒙内铁路连接肯尼亚首都内罗毕和东非第一大港蒙巴萨港,全长480公里,设计运力2500万吨,计划2018年建成通车。该项目由中国交通建设集团下属的中国路桥工程有限责任公司承建,涉及金额约38亿美元,其中线下部分26.6亿美元,线上部分11.47亿美元。
The construction of railway is in full swing, from Mombasa to Nairobi in Kenya since the China- Kenya coop eration agreement signing ceremony for Mombasa to Nairobi railway project with premier Li Keqiang, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan presidents' personal attendance on May 11, 2014, and will be the example in China railway engineering contracting and equipment 'Going Global'. The Mombasa- Nairobi railway is built by China Communications Construction Company Ltd. ai liated China Road and Bridge Corporation, and amount of money involved is US$3.8 billion.
