本质主义、反本质主义与美学研究——当前中国美学界论争的批判性考察

A Critical Survey of Current Controversy in China's Aesthetic Field

"美的本质"问题再次成为当前中国美学界激烈论争的焦点。直斥其为"伪命题"者有之,坚持其为"美学基石"者有之,回避而另辟蹊径者亦有之。应予深入考察的是:对否弃者而言,美学研究走向了哪些不同的路径;对守护者来说,在后现代反本质主义的冲击下,"美的本质"发生了怎样微妙的变化。它们各自又有什么意义与缺陷。

The ＂essence of beauty＂has once again become the focus of heated debate in China＇s aesthetic field nowadays,about which there have been divided opinions—some are critical of it by depreciating it as a＂pseudo proposition＂directly,while others are adherent to it by eulogizing it as ＂the cornerstone of aesthetics＂and still some others have evaded it by trying to find another approach. Therefore,what is noteworthy is as follows,what diverse paths have been taken in the orientation of aesthetic research with respect to the abandoners of ＂essence of beauty＂; and as regards those defenders of the view,what subtle changes have happened to the ＂essence of beauty＂under the impact of postmodern anti-essentialism. And what their respective significance and flaw is.
