Promoting the Scientific Spirit and Implementing the Socialist Core Values

党的十八大报告强调:"倡导富强、民主、文明、和谐,倡导自由、平等、公正、法治,倡导爱国、敬业、诚信、友善,积极培育和践行社会主义核心价值观。"科学精神作为一种崇高的人格力量,它是人们认识世界和改造世界的理智思想的精神反映,是人们观察和分析问题的思想武器,是对当代科技工作者综合素质和精神境界提出的全新要求。社会主义核心价值观作为当代社会的主流价值观,蕴含丰富而深刻的科学思想和科学精神,践行社会主义核心价值观,我们应坚持理论联系实际,大力弘扬实事求是和开拓创新的科学精神,不断加强科学道德建设,用科学精神践行社会主义核心价值观。

As is stressed in the Report of the 18 th Party Congress,efforts should be made to ＂ advocate prosperity,democracy,civilization,harmony,freedom,equality,justice,rule of law,patriotism,dedication,honesty and friendliness so as to actively cultivate and practice the socialist core values＂. As a lofty personality power,the scientific spirit is the spiritual reflection of the rational thought of people in their understanding and transformation of the world,is an ideological weapon for people to observe and analyze problems as well as a new requirement in the comprehensive quality and mental state for contemporary scientific and technical workers. The socialist core values,the mainstream values in contemporary society,contain rich and profound scientific thought and spirit. Thus,for practicing the socialist core values,we should persist in combining theory with practice,implement the scientific spirit of seeking truth from facts and innovation as well as continue to strengthen scientific moral construction so as to practice the socialist core values by virtue of the scientific spirit.
