摘要
界面假说是语言习得领域的一个新兴理论,它涵盖了一语磨损、双语习得,继承语习得、儿童及成人二语习得等多个方面。其主要观点是语言由语音、语义、句法、语用等模块构成;这些模块之间的互动形成界面;语言习得问题容易出现在界面,这些问题往往造成习得的推迟甚至石化;外部界面比内部界面更为薄弱。针对二语习得领域,本文从以下五个方面剖析该理论:1)界面如何形成?2)二语界面为何薄弱?3)外部界面一定比内部界面薄弱吗?4)二语习得界面假说的理论价值;5)后续研究。
Interface Hypothesis has recently become a prominent theory in language acquisition research, addressing a wide range of problems concerning L1 attrition, bilingualism, heritage language acquisition,child and adult L2 acquisition. Its principal notions are:(1) language is made up of modules such as phonology, semantics, syntax and pragmatics;(2) interactions among these modules create various interfaces;(3)acquisitional problems are likely to occur at interfaces and hence cause delay or even fossilization;(4) external interfaces are more vulnerable than internal interfaces. Within the scope of SLA, this paper analyzes this theory from such aspects: How interfaces form, why interfaces are vulnerable, whether external interfaces are more vulnerable than internal interfaces, what theoretical values Interface Hypothesis has, and how follow-up studies can be done.
