The External Interpretation of Patricia Rozema——On the Adapted Breakthrough of the Film “Mansfield Park”

In the adaptation process of Jane Austen＇s novel ＂Mansfield Park＂, Patricia Rozema did a bold adaptation for the original work. In considering both the novel＇s style and the special performing skill of film, by means of showing inner feelings, first person narration, and the rendering techniques of atmosphere and mood, Rozema reproduced the inadaptable content. The ＂external interpretation＂ not only enriched the novel, but also set an example for the film adaptation of literature.
