Why the Eyes?On the Tragedy of Oedipus from the Vision's Priority

The vision enjoys a noticeable priority in the ancient Greek culture,and is even promoted into the ontological height of human existence. Both the pursuit of ancient Greek for the immortal reputation and their abuse of the enemies＇ corpses have the significantly internal connection with it. The vision images abound in Oedipus Rex by Sophocles,driving the development of the plot while containing a profound philosophical thought and cultural implication. Hence Oedipus Rex can be regarded as a tragedy of eyes.
