Fly,death,Fly,King,light,I could not see to see等文辞构成的迷宫在文本解读中逐渐醒目:"死"即灵"飞扬";"死"即"来生"。
The poem,I heard a Fly buzz- when I died-,is regarded as one of Dickinson's masterpieces on the theme of "death". The imageries of the poem are misunderstood and mistranslated in some Chinese versions, due to the lack of faith. To maintain the poetic imageries depends upon recognizing words and structures as metaphors. Literary maze, constructed by the words such as " death", " Fly", " King", " light",and " I could not see to see",turns to be in the spotlight, that is,to die is to fly and death is afterlife. The social significance of the poem to her readers is that it literarily dissolves the fear to face one's death.
