论徐公修《史记百咏》的思想艺术

清代是咏史诗创作的集大成时期,不仅涌现出数以万计的咏史单篇,而且出现许多大型组诗乃至咏史专集。就专咏《史记》大型联章组诗而言,徐公修《史记百咏》可称个中楚翘。诗人秉承《史记》精神,以七言律诗赋写始黄帝、唐尧帝,迄秦始皇的历代人物,在吟咏时精心构思,巧妙剪裁,口诛笔伐,微言大义,细致刻画,烘托渲染,不仅讴歌了明君能臣的丰功伟绩和高大形象,而且多方搜集比勘,诗蕴史心,称评侯伯辅臣,功过是非,褒贬公允。

Qing Dynasty was the peak period when many poems about history were composed either in a single one or in a clustered one. As to the clustered one, Xu Gong-xiu＇s Shi Ji Bai Yong is very famous. Borrowing the spirit of Historical Records, the poet uses septa- syllabic regulated verse to eulogize the emperors from Yellow Emperor to Emperor Qin. The composing of these poems is very careful and clear; the poems are very critical and sarcastic; and the connotations in the poems are salient and contrastive. These poems depict the great achievements by emperors and courtiers and their lofty images. Besides, many materials are collected to appraise them more objectively.
