“越王不光剑”刍议

A Discussion on the Sword of King Buguang of Yue State

本文主要讨论荆州曹家山一号楚墓新出土越王不光剑,在系统梳理相关"越王不光"铜剑铭文的基础上,指出相关剑铭在读序、内容等方面差别明显,特征性强。通过对铜剑型式、铜剑出土位置等信息的仔细辨析,强调科学考古出土的资料具有较高参考价值,并且提出在考古发掘中值得关注的若干因素。

This paper compares the Sword of King Buguang of Yue State, excavated from Tomb M1 of Caojiashan Site, Jingzhou, in 2000, with all previously uncovered bronze swords related to King Buguang. The inscriptions present on these swords, dated to before and after Buguang＇ s enthronement, were quite different in the reading order, writing format and implied meaning. Meanwhile, the paper also suggests why the swords of Yue were frequently unearthed from Chu.
