泥浆灌洞灭家鼠研究

Studies on elimination of domestic Rodents by filling the Burrows with slurry

本文首次报告用泥浆灌洞灭家鼠研究结果。1990年11～12月,在山东省武城县农村住宅内进行了现场试验。方法:先用2份土与1份水在容器中搅拌成均匀的泥浆,再用泥浆灌满鼠洞。对295个用湿土堵洞后盗开的褐家鼠洞灌泥浆(平均每洞灌泥浆20立升左右)3～5天后测定,3组试验的灭洞率均为100%。同时用格粉板法测得的校正灭鼠率分别为96.16%、81.13%和78.83%。作者认为,该法不用花钱,可就地取材,人人动手,随时灭鼠,有很高的推广使用价值,在某些地方有可能成为主要的灭鼠方法。

The paper reprots firstly the elimination of rodents by means of filling the burrows with slurry, tests were done indoors in the villages of Wucheng county, Shandong province from November, 1990. Two portions of soil and one portion of water were mixed and stirred in a container until they became slurry, which was to be used to fill the rodent burrows. The burrows were firstly blocked with wet soil, of which 295 re-excavated by Rattus norvigicus then filled with slurry (each burrow averageing about 20 liters)Observations on three groups of experiments for 3～5 days revealed no re-excavated burrows, showing 100 percentage of burrow blockage. The corrected rodent elimination rate of the three groups measured with powder-spot method was 96.16, 81.13 and 78.83%, respectively. We believe that the method is very economic and worthy of promotion because it can be done any where and any time by anyone with local materials. It may be taken as the main method of rodent elimination in certain area.
