"地方性"是城市历史街区的基本特征,城市特色就主要保存和体现在城市历史街区中。以潮州古城区为例,其地方性表述的内容包括:潮州古城的地方精神、潮州古城区地方性的物质形态、潮州古城区地方性的非物质形态。在保护和展示城市历史街区的物质形态时,需要明确城市的地方精神及其内在联系,并要加强对城市历史街区的非物质文化遗产的传承保护与展示。

“Locality”is the basic feature of a historical old city district. And local feature is the best fasci?nation of urban historic districts. Taking Old Chaozhou Town for instance, the thesis analyzes in particular the local statements of urban historic districts, which can be analyzed from the following three aspects:the spirit of locality, the material and non-material form of urban historic districts.
