1949 is not the end of the Communist Revolution. Chinese Communist Party was mot only revolutionary party, but also ruling party (in the Soviet regions and bases) before 1949; Chinese Communist Party transformed from a local riding party to a national one after 1949, hut its characteristics did not change in this progress. There was no such questions like "transforming from a revolutionary party to a ruling party" in the point of view of CCP. Revolution was still the main theme in the first thirty years of PRC. Only putting the history of the first thirty years into the macroscopic context of "revolution" can it be observed and analyzed. The Communist Revolution had some character of constancy in spite of its periodical character. Many problems in "Chinese contemporary history" can not be understood if ignoring the integrity and continuity of Communist Revolution in China. In the history of CCP itself, 1949 is not a chasm.
