English Teaching in the Era of MOOCs: Challenges and Strategies

"慕课"课程从教学理念、教学模式和学习方式等方面给国内的英语教学带来了诸多挑战。面对挑战,大学英语教师应转变教学模式,提高在线教学能力,学习慕课制作,采取"翻转课堂"教学模式,线上线下相结合,进而提高英语教学质量。同时,学生要改变学习理念,提高自主学习能力,自我管理学习,提高学习效率。

With the rapid development of Internet technology,MOOCs become popular and the era of MOOCs is around the corner. From the aspects of teaching ideas,teaching modes and learning modes,MOOCs have brought many challenges to college English teaching in China. In the face of these challenges,college English teachers should change the teaching mode,improve online teaching ability,learn to produce MOOCs,take ＂ flipped classroom＂ teaching mode,and then improve the quality of college English teaching by combining MOOCs with classroom instruction. Meanwhile students should change their learning ideas,improve autonomous learning abilities,and improve learning efficiency.
