大学校长作为高校的行政负责人,是一所学校的灵魂,和学校的发展密切相关。大学的兴盛,离不开富有智慧、经验、人格魅力和开拓创新精神的卓越领导者,大学校长的视野和担当对学校的发展具有重要的影响。文章分析了大学校长的历史使命和角色定位,确定大学校长应具有的视野和担当,指出大学校长作为社会精英和公众人物,不仅应该具有国际化的视野,而且要有高度责任感和使命感,说真话做真事,敢字当头,敢作敢为,成为社会道德的化身与行为的典范。

A university president, as the responsible person, is the soul of a school and is closely related to the development of the school. The university＇ s prosperity can not be separated from the outstanding leader with wis- dom, experience, personal charm and pioneering and innovative spirit, and university president＇ s vision and ac- countability plays an important role in the development of the school. This paper analyzes the historical mission and role positioning of the university president, determines the university president＇ s vision and accountability, and points out that the president of a university, as a social elite and public figure, should not only have the internation- al vision, but have the sense of responsibility and mission. Meanwhile, the university president should become a model of social morality and behavior.
