An Analysis on the Antinomy in Fredric Jameson's The Cultural Turn

以美国马克思主义批评家、文化理论家詹姆逊的《文化转向》为范本,从后现代性的二律背反性质及后现代文化与金融资本主义之关系的讨论入手,读解詹姆逊后现代研究的基本意涵和方法特色,管窥詹姆逊以晚期资本主义为核心范畴的后现代批判之要义,图绘詹姆逊在艺术史与大众文化领域复现的后现代面相,揭橥詹姆逊后现代研究的根本立场在于不容更易的马克思主义,指明詹姆逊经后现代研究释放马克思主义之"乌托邦"潜能以求重构阶级之图所作出的重要理论贡献。

Taking American Marxist critic and cultural theorist Fredric Jameson＇s The Cultural Turn as an example, this paper starts with the discussion of the antinomy in postmodernism and the relationship between postmodern culture and financial capitalism, interprets the basic meaning and the method characteristic of Jameson＇s study on postmodernism, and looks at the import of Jameson＇s postmodern critique based on the core that is late-capitalism. Next, the paper depicts the postmodern visions reproduced by Jameson in art history and popular culture, reveals that the radical position of Jameson＇s postmodern study is the unchanged Marxism. Finally, the paper demonstrates that Jameson＇s significant theoretical contribution to reconstructing the map of class through his postmodern study to release the utopia potentials of Marxism.
