The difference between White House and State Department is a major determinant of US-Pakistan relations. This article will analyze how White House, US State Department and Pakistan perceive each other and the policy choices of them. An analysis on White House-State Department difference and its influence upon US-Pak relation will be made in this paper with the exemplification of South Asia Crisis 1971. An evaluation on the role of White House-State Department difference in US-Pak relation will be made.
