Combining with the maintenance and consolidation in the bearing of overhead viaducts in Suzhou,the paper introduces the status and diseases of the bridge bearing,and based on the principle of bearing replacement design,illustrates the method of altering bearing of the single pier jacking-up in continuous beam bridges,and points out the method is featured with slight damages,operable,and strongly feasible and economical in bridge structures.
