The Goal of Doubling: Formulation,Situation and Significance in All Previous National Congress of the CPC during the Reform Process

"翻番"是一个来自中国民间文化的词语,党中央将这一词语用于表述现代化进程中的经济发展战略目标。改革以来,在历次党的全国代表大会上,根据不同的背景和发展形势,有针对性地提出了不同的翻番目标和要求,形成了系统的翻番战略思想,有力地推动了改革开放和现代化建设的进程。特别是在党的十八大上,提出了国内生产总值和城乡居民人均收入的两个翻一番目标,使翻番战略思想发展到一个新的高度,对全面建成小康社会发挥着关键性作用。

Doubling is a Chinese folk culture word. The Central Committee of the CPC used the word to express the goal of economic development strategy in modernization process. During the reform process, differ- ent goals of doubling have been put forward according to different situations. These goals have formed systemic doubling strategy thought, which have promoted the process of reform and opening up and modernization. Es- pecially in the eighteenth National Congress of the CPC, the Central Committee of the CPC put forward the goal of doubling in GDP and the per capita income of urban and rural residents. The new formulation makes the doubling strategy thought reach a new height, and plays a key role to build a well - off society in an all - round way.
