On Family Conflicts and Cultural Differences in Chinese American Literature——Taking The Bonesetter's Daughter as an Example

研究美国华裔文学离不开中西文化差异,文化冲突与融合是其永恒的主题。从汤亭亭到谭恩美与任碧莲,这些华裔女作家从普通的家庭生活入手,铺开的却是有关族裔与文化的画卷。家庭矛盾,成为文化差异的载体,而文化观念上的差异,使家庭成员之间矛盾加剧。

As everyone knows,it is impossible to analyze the Chinese American literature,with cultural conflict and fusion as its eternal theme,without discussing about the cultural differences between China and the West. Chinese American female writers,from Amy Tan to Gish Jen,depict pictures of race and culture from the perspective of family life. Conflicts in families become the carrier of cultural differences,which in turn intensify family conflicts.
