Middle-Class Women's Leisure Activities in the 19th Century Britain

19世纪英国通过一系列立法加强城市公共设施与休闲场所的有序化管理。中等阶级妇女借助良好的城市环境参加了文艺与消遣、旅行与文化交流、集会与社团等活动,既体现活动的休闲性,又体现了她们对工业革命所引发社会问题的关注,一定程度上延伸了中等阶级妇女活动的范围,有利于资本主义公共领域公共文化的形成。

Britain in the 19 th century strengthened the orderly management of urban public facilities,leisure facilities through a series of legislation. By means of favorable urban cultural environment,the middle-class women participated in the art and entertainment,travel and cultural exchange,community and other charitable leisure activities,which not only reflected leisure of activities,but also showed middle-class women＇s attention to social problems caused by the industrial revolution. To some extent,the scope of middle-class women＇s activities was extended,which was conducive to the public culture formation in the public sphere.
