A Study on Obama's Reelected Presidential Inaugural Address from Critical Discourse Analysis

以批评性话语分析视角分析奥巴马连任美国总统就职演讲辞,演讲辞中大量否定虚词、人称代词、情态动词的使用,完成语言的人际功能,拉近政府与民众的距离,影响民众的认知水平和思想判断,增加美国强国复兴动员的成功机会。语篇的分类、语篇的名物化和被动化的转换,在一定程度上强化奥巴马所宣扬内容的真实性,有效地传递民主党政府在执政前期对民众的情感感化、思想影响,从而传达民主党的执政理念和意识形态。

Critical Discourse Analysis is applied into the study on Obama＇s reelected presidential inaugural address. Clusters of negative words, modality and personal pronouns are used to realize the interpersonal function of discourses, with the purpose to shorten the distance between the US government and its people, shape the US people＇s cognition and judgment about politics and improve the political approval for the US national rejuvenation. Classification and transformation including nominalization and passivization, in a sense, are used to reinforce the authenticity of what Obama has declared in the address, in the attempt to deliver Democratic government＇s emotional and ideological influences on and install their ruling ideas and ideology into the US people.
