English Pronunciation Problems and Solutions for Chinese Seafarers on International Voyages

本文通过随国际航线一艘13386TEU大型集装箱船舶一个航次77天的一线观察和调研,总结了中国海员在英语听说沟通交流当中存在的主要发音问题,并提出相应对策。航海院校在英语教学培训中要进一步注意这些问题,以更好地提高海员英语发音和总体水平。

This paper summarizes the major pronunciation problems and solutions for the Chinese seafarers based on a field observation and investigation conducted on a large 13386 TEU container vessel on international voyage lasting for 77 days. The paper proposes that the maritime institutions should further attach more attention to these problems in order to better improve their pronunciation and overall English level.
