理想与信念:西方数学发展的精神动力

Ideal and Belief: The Spiritual Power in the Development of Mathematics

摘要 理想与信念是西方数学发展的精神动力。数学信念的确立、维护、纠正和再立的过程,是西方数学发展的不竭动力。数学理想与信念,从古希腊的"万物皆数",到中世纪至近代的"上帝按照数学设计了世界",再到现代的"数学内在的协调与逻辑美",展示了数学发展中理想与信念的强大驱动作用。 In addition to the material power from reality,there is the spiritual power from the beliefs in mathematics in the development of mathematics which is distinctive in the west.The belief that a mathematical world is harmonious,orderly and logical plays an important role in the development of mathematics during the process of its and rebuilt.The belief has shown its dirving force to the progress of mathematics from the theory of all things are numbers in the ancient Greece,the god made the world in the laws of mathematics in the Middle Age and the pre-modem times,to the beauty and harmonious of mathematics in modem time.
