Some Basic Facts of Solid Mineral Exploration in Recent Years Abroad

基于统计数据,本文介绍了近年来国外矿产勘查投资、矿床发现的数量、品质、成本和深度等基本情况,尤其是加拿大、澳大利亚等国。过去20年中,矿产勘查投资上升,但矿产发现率并未明显提升。发现成本不断攀升,过去10年已经翻番。矿产勘查目前正逐渐向盖层下深部转移。

Based on statistical data, this paper presents the basic facts of mineral exploration expenditures, the quantity, quality, cost and buried depth of discoveries in recent years abroad, especially those in Canada and Australia. Over the past twenty years, mineral exploration expenditures have risen, but the discovery rates have not significantly improved. The discovery costs have been rising and have doubled in the last decade. Mineral industry have to progressively explore under deeper cover.
