摘要
线粒体转录终止因子(Mterf)是线粒体DNA转录、翻译过程中的一种重要调控因子,主要在转录终止方面发挥相关作用,同时也可参与线粒体起始的调控。随着线粒体基因转录调控机制以及人类线粒体疾病研究的不断深入,Mterf的功能及特点等方面的研究逐渐成为一个新兴的热点,获得了一些新的发现。Mterf家族是一种多功能的蛋白家族,根据其结构特征的不同可分为4类,分别命名为Mterf1~4。
Mitochondrial transcription termination factor(Mterf) is a key regulator in the genetic tran- scription and replication of mitochondrial DNA. It plays a major role in transcription termination, and is also involved in the regulation of mitochondrial initiation. With the deepening of research of the mitochondrial gene transcriptional regulatory mechanisms and human mitochondrial disease, the functions and characteris- tics of Mterf has gradually become a new hot spot, and some findings have been achieved. Mterf family is a multifunctional protein family,which consists of four members based on the different structural characteris- tics,respectively named Mterfl-4.
