October 14 is celebrated as the World＇s Standards Day （VVSD）, on which the three major standards organi- zations （IEC, ISO and ITU） have titled this year＇s celebra- tions as ＂Standards, the World＇s Common Language＂, vividly describing the important role of standards for today＇s globalized trade and technical collaboration. It is an important task for China＇s standardization work to raise the international level of the national standardiza- tion, build the link for China and the rest of the world, and help to construct the new framework for the all- around opening-up to the whole world.
