Creative transformation and innovative development of the family-state concept and traditional Chinese culture

家国观念与中国人的总体性思维方式密切相关,家国情怀不仅从道德价值层面强调亲情、家庭的重要性,而且将其视作国家发展、民族进步、社会和谐的重要基点,这是当代中国基于全球化时代背景之下实现文化革新的重要突破口。文化革新最直接的体现是观念革新,家国观念从封建社会的强调国家的权威性,到习近平总书记强调家庭是国家发展的重要基点,说明中国的家国观念有其本身顽强的生命力和所属的发展环境,是一个不断蜕变和形塑的过程。面对新的环境,家国观念需要赋予新的时代内容,需要家庭和国家之间相对社会地位的修正。

The family- state concept is closely related to the overall way of thinking of the Chinese people. The love of the family and the state reveals the importance of kinship and family at the level of moral value,and is a cornerstone for the national development and social stability and harmony as well as a key approach to the cultural innovation against the background of globalization. The family-state concept in the feudal society stressed the authority of the state while CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping regards family as a foundation of the national development,which reveals that the family- state concept in China has great vitality and mirrors the changes of the socio- historical and cultural environments. In the new context,the traditional family- state concept should be improved and the roles of family and state should be clearly confirmed.
