Causes of Confusion between Synonymous Monosyllabic and Disyllabic Nouns in Learning CSL

同素同义单双音名词的混淆广泛分布于不同母语背景CSL学习者的语料中,其混淆具有显著的共通性。其中单音名词最常在"X+的+N单"结构中发生误用,而双音名词则最常在"NP+N双"结构中发生误用。词语混淆的原因是:CSL学习者受到同素同义的干扰,且不清楚单双音名词语义的不对等、语体色彩的差异、韵律制约规则的差异以及因语言经济原则作用而形成的固化表达。教师应根据词语混淆分布特征及其成因,对不同水平的学习者采用不同的教学策略。

The confusion between synonymous monosyllabic and disyllabic nouns is widely distributed in the corpus of learners from different native language backgrounds. It has significant commonality. While the monosyllabic nouns are mostly misused in ＂X＋ 的 ＋ N＂ structure, the disyllabic nouns are mostly misused in ＂NP＋N＂ structure. What causes the confusion is that CSL learners do not know the different prosodic constraints to monosyl- labic and disyllabic nouns, the stylistic differences and the statute of monosyllabic--noun structure. The author of this paper made some suggestions for the strategy of teaching based on these different causes.
