Yiyuan Beautiful Jade: Chinese Jadite

河南省栾川县位于豫西伏牛山北麓,境内干峰耸峙、万壑交织、涧溪遍布、树木葱茏,素有"洛阳后花园"之美誉。特殊的地质条件和岩层分布,造就了栾川县丰富的矿产资源和独特的奇石美玉。2012年,栾川县被授予"中国观赏石之乡",2002年,在伏牛山脉腹地的栾川县陶湾乡三合村伊河源头发现了古代采玉矿的矿洞遗址。

Luanchuan county Henan province is located at north of Funiu mountain. There are so many mountains and rivers, also called "back garden of Luoyang". Special geology conditions and strata distribution made abundant minerals and beautiful jades. In 2012, Luanchuan county was conferred to "Chinese viewing stone town".In 2002, Yiyuan jade was discovered in Luanchuan couty. Soon it has been proved that this is a high quality jade mining area with great developing prospects. It is the first jade discovery in centre China.It has the same substance as Xinjiang Hetian jade. It consists almost 90% of tremolite. In terms of quality, the more tremolite there is the better quality the jade. Jade is always regarded as wealth and good luck, and are said to dispel evil.According to some recordation, Yiyuan jade has a long exploiting history. It originated in the Song dynasty. In ancient times, Yiyuan jade was carved into exquisite sacrificial vessels and jade ornaments.Through the ages, jade has been considered a priceless treasure, as demonstrated by the Chinese saying, "There is a price for gold, but no price for jade."Tremolite is transparent, so when it forms into ores, most of them are creamy white. However,Yuyuan jade comes in about seven different colors: creamy white, green white, green, blue green,dark green, red and yellow. Such diversity is caused by the volcanic eruptions. Streams of lava which contain tremolite will mix with minerals when they flow from the volcano. Then the creamy white pure tremolite will turn into dark green with increasing mineral content. The president of the China viewing stone institution Ms. Shou Jiahua gave a high evaluation of the Jade: Yiyuan Beautiful Jade:Chinese Jadite.In order to develop the precious Yiyuan jade, Mr Pei lianbo founded Lanchuan county Godsend Yiyuan jade developing Ltd in 2004. According to current statistics, company annual output of Yiyuan jade is about 20 to 300 tons. The company has gradually established friendship with Beijing, Shanghai,Shenzhen, F ujian and Hongkong, Taiwan.Jade has a history In China of at least 8000 years. Unknown to some, it is found contained within the development of religion and civilization, having moved from the use of decoration on to the others such as the rites of worship and burial. Although other materials like gold, silver and bronze were also used, none of these have ever exceeded the spiritual position that jade has acquired in peoples* minds-it is associated with merit, morality, grace and dignity. In the funeral objects of the people of the Western Han Dynasty(206 BC- 24 AD),for example, we can see only high officials were buried with Jade articles.
