How are the old revolutionary areas now in the China of rapid economic development? This is a point that Chinese people are very curious about.Laoling,in Dezhou,is a part of JiLu Border Region, well known as the land of Chinese red jujubes,as well as the oldest revolutionary area in Shandong Province. This land not only raised heroic youth, but also developed a reputation for its contemporary new look.Having visited Laoling, chatted with the villagers, and experienced its past and present,we have so many stories to be relished. Each village in Laoling has cultivated jujube trees.Guided by the Chief,Zhang Hongxia, the group visited Liangzhui Xisen new village in Huangjia Town.Line upon line of cottages made people feel surprised.Laoling has developed a circular economy since2000.Liang Zhaoli, one of the villagers said: ' We used to do the farm work and earned only a few thousand RMB.But now I can work in the workshop and my salary has increased to more than40,000 RMB a year.' Xizhao village in Laoling is clear and bright in autumn.A green plastic gateball court has been built in this place. Some classical things or old customs have faded while the economy has been developing. However, the most consistent thing, friendship, will always remain.
