摘要
英语专业教师的文化个性包括热情支持型、亲近和蔼型、优雅指示型、权威型和忽视型五种类型。在教学过程中教师积极的文化个性会表现出一种自主与自由、创新与超越的状态,而这种状态将体现为教师真正意义上对生命的尊重、对学生个性的关注以及对人生幸福的追求;英语教师文化个性的良好表现有助于英语专业教学效果的提高。
English major teachers' cultural personality can be divided into five types : zealous-supportive, close-kindly, grace- ful-directive, authoritative and indifferent. In the course of educational activities teachers of positive cultural personality appear to be in a state of being autonomous, liberal,innovative, and transcendental. And this state shows their genuine respect for life and their genuine concern for students' personality development and individuals' pursuit of happiness. Students' overall qualities are bound up to their teachers' cultural personalities in performance.
