幻灭中持希望,迷茫里苦求索——斯卡尔梅达小说中成长主题探析 被引量:1

Expecting in Disillusion and Searching in Confusion——Theme of Growth in Antonio Skármeta's Novels

摘要 智利作家安东尼奥·斯卡尔梅达创作了典型的"成长小说"《我梦见雪在燃烧》和《什么都没发生》。两部小说的叙事聚焦于不同时期和特定社会历史背景下成长起来的一代青年群体,他们有理想,有抱负,面对智利黑暗而残酷的现实社会,担忧、焦虑、迷茫、失望。通过"懵懂—受挫—迷惘—历练—顿悟—成人"的历练过程,他们认识到自我身份和价值,并努力调整自我与社会的关系。这个青年群体的不同成长经历,自我认识和调整过程,真实地反映了智利社会政治变迁对个人身心发展和精神的深远影响。本文拟从主人公成长的社会历史背景、成长模式和类型、成长的引路人方面,探析作品蕴含的成长主题。同时揭示斯卡尔梅达所持的现实主义乐观态度,对青年群体寄予的厚望,以及对祖国美好未来的希冀。 Chilean writer Antonio Sk6rmeta created the classic Initiation Stories : I Dreamed of Snow Burning and Nothing Happened. The two narrative novels focus on a group of young people who grew up in different periods and specific social and historical background. They have ideals and ambitions and have to face the dark and cruel reality in Chile. They feel worried, anxious, confused and disappointed. Through the process of experience and toughening "ignorance-frustration-perplexity-expe- rience-enlightenment-grow up", they have identified with themselves and recognized their values, and have tried to adjust themsevles to the society. The different experiences of growing-up of this young generation, and thier self-knowledge and self- adjustment process, truly reflect the profound influence of Chilean socio-political changes on individual physical and mental development and their spirit. This paper aims to analyze the theme of growth from aspects such as social and historical back- ground of growth, patterns and types of growth, and the guide of growth. Meanwhile it reveals the realistic optimism of Antonio Skerrneta, the hope he holds for the youth group and the expectation he has for a better future for their motherland.
