Research of the Tankasri Avalokitesvara Painting on NO. X.2438 Tangka from Khara-khoto Site

《俄藏黑水城艺术品I》刊布的"水月观音图"共五幅,其中X.2438号唐卡"水月观音图"比较特殊。此图不仅反映了水月观音图像在西夏的传播和演变,而且融中原风格、吐蕃风格、回鹘风格于一身,具有较高的研究价值。

There are five paintings about Tankasri Avalokitesvara published in the book ＂The Works of Art＂ from Khara-khoto Site collected in Russia. Among them, the NO.X2438 Tangka is very special. Not only does it reflect the spread and evolution of Tankasri Avalokitesvara paintings in Tangut, but also com- bines many different art styles on it, such as the Central Plains＇ Style, Tubo Style and Uygur Style, thus making it very valuable on research.
