Change of Passive Voice's Usage Trend in EST

摘要科技文章贵在简洁客观,国际权威期刊收录的科技文章中被动语态的使用有减少趋势,而主动语态使用越来越普遍。在科技英语交际中,主动语态的使用有着更多的优点,其语句自然、简单、容易理解。本文从样本统计分析和主被动语态的特点两个方面浅析这一现象,并提出翻译中的应对技巧。 Scientific articles should be featured by concise and impersonality. The scientific articles in international authoritative journals have the tendency of using less passive voice but more active voice. In the field of science and technology,the extensive use of active voice shows its wide advantages,which are natural,simple and easy to understand when communicating in EST. This paper analyses this phenomenon by sample statistical analysis and examines the characteristics of active and passive voice and proposes pertinent translation skills as reference for translators.
