摘要 20世纪前期和中期是美国成人教育理论发展的重要时期。当时美国正处于大发展、大改革时期,经济、社会及教育文化等因素推动了成人教育实践的发展,带来了成人教育理论研究的勃兴。美国成人教育理论在成人教育哲学、社会学、心理学,成人教育课程与教学论研究、成人学习模式研究、成人教育教师角色研究及成人教育综合研究等方面,均取得了新成就与新发展。丰硕的理论成果奠定了成人教育学作为一门独立学科的基础,确定了成人教育学理论体系的基本内容,对成人教育学的学科建设有着重要的启示意义,即成人教育学的学科特色在于成人性,学科价值在于实践性。 The first half of the 20th century is an important period in the history of American adult education development. In this period, America was in the circumstance of developing and reforming, while both the adult education practice and the theory re- search were springing up and developing. The adult education theory research has gained achievements in the philosophy, psychology, sociology, adult curriculum and teaching theory, adult learning model, teacher role and the adult education synthetic study. These plentiful and substantial achievements have laid a foundation of andragogy as an independent subject, made clear the basic content of adult education ideology, and given us enlightenment that the subject feature of andragogy is adult, the discipline value of andragogy is practice.
