国家认同如何可能?——基础要素与历史逻辑

HOW IS THE NATIONAL IDENTITY POSSIBLE?:BASIC ELEMENTS AND HISTORICAL LOGIC

国家认同因其对国家、社会安全稳定的重要作用而成为国家建设的主要内容。建构国家认同的基础要素可从生物性要素、文化性要素和制度性要素三个层面来理解。但在当下国家认同的建构过程中,起决定性作用的是制度性要素。实际上,国家认同建构是一个需要双重用力的综合架构,应在具体的历史情境逻辑中来理解。从中西方古代王朝国家认同至近现代民族国家认同建构的历史来看,建构国家认同的基础要素,从血缘系谱、历史传统与文化到具有现代意义的政治系统,呈现出清晰的演进脉络。

National identity becomes a main part of national construction because of its important func- tions in terms of security and stability to both the state and the society. The basic elements of constructing national identity can be comprehended in biological, cultural and institutional levels. The institutional ele- ment plays a decisive role in the process of present day national identity construction, however. Actually, the national identity construction is a comprehensive framework which needs dual forces functioning together and should be understood in the specific historical context. Seen from the history of national identity in ancient Chinese and Western dynasties to modern nation- state identity construction, the basic elements of national identity present a clear evolutional context from blood ties, historical tradition and culture to modern political system.
