美国黑人女作家托妮·莫里森的首部作品《最蓝的眼睛》最大的亮点是使用象征手法。她以"蓝眼睛"、"自然景物"、"春夏秋冬"、"楼房"等为象征意象,不仅成功刻画了佩克拉这一主要人物形象,也揭示了小说背后深刻的社会内涵与文化意蕴。
The Bluest Eye is the first novel of African American writer Toni Morrison. The sparkle of the novel is the symbolism including bluest eyes,natural scenes,seasons and buildings. This kind of description not only reveals Pecola,the black girl＇s tragedy,but also interprets the cultural implication and social connotation.
