On the Mutual Influence Between Literature Translation and Literature Recipients

文学翻译与文学接受者之间是一种相互影响的关系。文学翻译的水平不仅对文学接受者的层面产生影响,还影响着文学接受者的数量。其准确地道而且高雅的翻译,读者层面相对较窄,文学接受者的数量相对较少。反过来讲,文学接受者的审美眼光、审美趣味和审美水平对文学翻译也产生着重大影响,从某种程度上说,二者相互影响,具有同等重要的地位;但从接受美学来看,相对而言,文学接受者对文学翻译的影响更为明显。

Literature translation and literature recipients have a mutual relationship. The level of literature translation not only affects the layer of recipients, but also the number of literature recipients. Accurate and elegant translation has narrow and small number of readers. Conversely, aesthetic vision, aesthetic taste and aesthetic level of literature recipients also have a significant impact on literature translation. To some extent, the two influence each other and are equally important; but from the point of view of reception aesthetics, relatively speaking, the impact of literature recipient on literature translation is more obvious.
