On the Narrating Version by Male Persons in Zhang Chengzhi's Early Novels——Based on A Name Engraved in the Heart

《刻在心上的名字》是张承志的创作中关注度不高的作品。小说的主要人物围绕父子、"养父子"两代三位男性展开,作品以"成长"与"自省"为叙事主题,以"苦难"与"救赎"为叙事视角,以"矛盾"与"抗争"为叙事内容,以冷峻与温情共存、叙事与思考共生的男性视角构建了一篇典型的男性叙事文本,具有思想与文化意蕴,丰厚了作家"为人民"的创作内涵。

A Name Engraved in the Heart is one of Liao Chengzhi’s novels which draws less attention from people. The plot of the novel develops among three male persons： the father, the son and the step-father. In this novel, the writer takes “growing-up”and“self-examining”as the narrative theme, sufferings and redemption as the narrative perspective, conflict and struggle as the nar-rative content. Besides, he mixes coldness with tenderness and combines narration with consideration from the perspective of a male person. Thus, he creates a typical narrating version by male persons, which contains the expression of both thought and culture and enriches the writer’s literary creation connotation of“writing for the people”.
