The comparison of the status quo and development course between Chinese sign language and American sign language is made to show the mutual characteristics and the respective characteristics of Chinese sign language and American sign language and to facilitate the sign language learners＇ understanding of the profound relationship between two sign languages, to promote the communication and mutual understanding of the Sino-American deaf, and boost the research and development of the Chinese sign language.
