ESP转型中的地方医学院校大学英语教师发展研究

A Study on GMU English Teachers' Development in the Transition from EGP to ESP

大学英语教学目前正处于转型时期,教学重点逐渐由一般用途英语(EGP)转向专门用途英语(ESP)。这一转型对大学英语教师的专业发展提出了更高的要求和挑战。基于此,以赣南医学院为例,来探讨ESP教学转型对地方医学院校大学英语教师所提出的要求,进而总结处于转型中的地方医学院校大学英语教师发展的途径。

College English teaching is in the transitional period, with its focus shifted from EGP （ English for General Purposes） to ESP （English for Special Purposes） , which has posed higher requirements and challenges for college English teachers. The paper, takes Gannan Medical University as an example, is trying to explore the requirements for college English teachers in local medical university and summarize the approaches for the development of college English teachers in the transitional period.
