English movie can provide English learners with the authentic language learning environment and it is an ideal language learning tool. At present,higher vocational college students lack the interest to learn English and the effect of English teaching is not good. This article will explore the feasibility of cultivating students＇ interest in learning English, improving their English listening and speaking ability, and cultivating students＇ cross-cultural awareness through the application of English movies in English teaching of higher vocational colleges.
