Fanchang stone carving belongs to Wuhu city intangible cultural heritage, and has become a pillar industry of Fanchang County. Through seeking the complicated history of Fanchang traditional stone carving, displaying its rich and unique cultural connotation, merging its performance categories, and summarizing its distinctive craft features, the paper extracts history gene of Fanchang traditional stone carving, and deeply combines with modern elements and factors. On the basis of Fanchang stone carving development status, the paper gives it a brand new era of style and an artistic image which inject vivid life and sustainable development power for the boom of modern Fanchang stone carving art.
