摘要
英国曼彻斯特大学与我国华中科技大学在通识教育课程的设置上各具特色。以两所大学具有代表性的机械工程专业为切入点,分析两所大学通识教育课程体系、内容。比较中英工科类大学在机械工程专业通识教育课程设计理念、培养目标、实践目的以及教学形式上的异同,给我国工科类地方性大学通识教育课程的改革与发展带来一些思考。
The University of Manchester and Huazhong University of Science and Technology both have unique characteristics in general education curriculum.By setting the representative major mechanical engineering of two universities as a starting point,this article analyzes their system and content of general education curriculum,and compares two universities' curriculum design idea,training objective,practical purpose and teaching form of general education.Their comparisons bring some thoughts to the reform and development of local engineering university's general education curriculum.
