The Influencing Factors on the Academic Paper Appraisal with Mathematical Clues

数学模型的使用会影响个体对陌生论文的学术水平评价,并受个体的专业背景、对数学模型的态度、文本内容及心理距离的影响。通过在文理科背景的论文摘要中分别加入有无解释的无关数学模型,实验结果发现:不同专业背景学生的论文评价存在差异,人文历史背景被试对数学模型态度更为消极;无关解释和文本内容交互影响论文评价,数学模型解释对于文科性质论文的影响更大;不同心理距离下,论文评分存在显著差异。

T he use of mathematical models can influence one＇s appraisal of unfamiliar academic papers . This appraisal is also influenced by his academic background , his attitude towards mathematics , text contents of the paper and psychological distance . T his experiment constructs different abstracts of papers from humanity and social and natural sciences , with and without irrelevant explanations of mathematical models presented in each abstract . T he results show that subjects＇academic backgrounds influence the appraisal of the papers ,and subjects of arts have stronger negative attitude towards mathematical model;Irrelevant explanations and text content influence the appraisal of papers interactively , and the social science subjects are more strongly affected by the appraisal of paper ;Psychological distance also affects the appraisal of papers significantly .
